Practice Healthy Behaviors & Promote A Healthy Environment

Encourage those who are not feeling well to consider staying home.
While no one wants to miss the ultimate summer cookout with their family and friends, if a person is displaying symptoms of COVID-19, has recently been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for or had symptoms of COVID-19, or is waiting for COVID-19 test results and still in quarantine, they should consider catching the next bash.

Encourage frequent hand-washing and hand hygiene.
COVID-19 or not, it’s always a great idea to encourage guests to wash their hands or use sanitizer before and after eating, after using the bathroom, and when coming into contact with others outside of their household. Anyone handling and preparing food or drinks should also be diligent on proper hand hygiene.

Ensure you have enough supplies to support healthy hygiene.
Take into consideration how many guests you will have, and how much soap, hand sanitizer, paper towels, disinfectant wipes, etc. you may need. No-touch trash cans are also great for clean-up and reducing contact between households.
