Utah’s state fruit is the cherry. They are the second highest producer in the United States for tart cherries. You will find dishes featuring cherries from desserts to barbecue sauces on menus. Utah is jam-packed with gorgeous scenery, whether you are biking or driving through. This state is home to five spectacular National Parks including: Zion National Park in Springdale, Arches National Park in Moab, Bryce Canyon in Bryce, Canyonlands in Moab, and Capitol Reef in Torrey. The colorful rock formations will leave you speechless. Try to view one of these parks either at sunset or sunrise to be even more impressed by Mother Nature.

Also found in Utah are some scenic waterways like the Colorado River where you can try whitewater rafting. Or, consider traveling to Salt Lake City to view the Great Salt Lake, the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere.

Of course, the world-famous Tabernacle Choir is located in Salt Lake City. Their rehearsals are open to the public on Thursdays.

If you are a movie buff, don’t forget to take in some of the other famous sights and sounds. There is Park City, home to the Sundance Film Festival, or the much visited and photographed Forrest Gump Point on US-163 in Mexican Hat, Utah. If you are feeling more adventurous, a film enthusiast has mapped a trail for you to follow to some other iconic spots from movies.
